Tokyo’s Edge of Cutting Edge – JKD Collective

Wanna get a taste of Tokyo’s kick-ass audio + visual creative scene?  Take a look at JKD Collective.

JKD gets it DNA strains from W+K Tokyo Lab and Rizomatiks.  The JKD collective currently includes twenty-two mainly Japanese musicians and visual artists that are literally on the edge of cutting edge.  Very cool, very hip, and very creative.  The artists are scattered world-wide and united under the JKD Collective umbrella.  My particular favorites are Berlin-based musician, Midori Hirano A.K.A. MimiCof, and graphic designer, WOOG.  Check out MimiCof – “Microscopium” from the album KotoLyra.

WOOG’s work on “AFRA: DIGITAL BREATH” blows my mind:

Check WOOG’s website for details on this killer video.

Enjoy.
